Pounding the Pavement

The point is that a lot of my friends out there are going through the same times that I am right now. So let me just tell you all what I learned:
- Looking for a job is stressful. But most of the stress is self-imposed. Relax. Everything will work out.
- Enjoy the free time you have, because once you are working, you will miss it.
- Don't jump at the first job that comes your way. You are worth a lot more than what the other guy is telling you.
- Treat looking for a job as a job. That means you put in your time everyday. Sometimes just knowing that you've been doing something, gives you self-respect.
- Get outside. Take a walk. Exercise. Watch a movie. Treat yourself well. A positive attitude really makes all the difference.

Good to know that your days of wisdom from Winnipeg are alive and kicking. Paraphrasing Mustapha of Disney's Lion King - Remember, you are more than what you have become. Never loose sight of this.
